It’s truly better to give than to receive. And as this year comes to a close, a bright smile can be a great gift of inspiration and happiness to many of those around you, especially during these (sometimes) hectic Holidays. But sometimes it takes more than a smile. It takes a helping hand and a little support.
Spreading the cheer to others this season, via a donation, to those in need is a wonderful way to celebrate our year-end Holiday festivities.
This year North Seattle Dental is highlighting two charities who could continue to use some support over the holidays and into the New Year: Toys for Tots and the Red Cross Hurricane Relief.
As part of our Holiday teeth whitening special, we’re including a 10% donation from us to your choice of either charity. But you can still make this season more merry for many with a personal donation to these charities (or any others you prefer)… even if you don’t want a brighter smile for the Holidays.
Help Support Kids In Need
The Toys for Tots Foundation is an annual holiday gift collection that is sponsored by the U.S. Marine Corps to benefit less-fortunate kids. Through the support of purchased gifts and donations, gifts are distributed to children and families across King County in time for the Holidays. Since it began in 1947, Toys for Tots has provided over 512 million Christmas toys to needy children throughout the United States.
Help Support Disaster Relief Efforts
While the 2017 hurricane season has come to a close, the devastation this year’s hurricanes caused continues to interrupt the lives of many. In fact, the total damage caused by hurricanes this season (like Harvey, Irma and Maria) is expected to be the costliest in American history – with the number expected to top $200 billion in just the U.S. alone. When hurricanes or tropical storms strike, donations made to the Red Cross help provide immediate shelter, food and comfort to families. But these donations also offer long-term recovery support, since it often takes many months, even years, to help many of these people get back on their feet.
When you share small acts of kindness, you give back more than you think. From our team at North Seattle Dental, we hope the Holidays treat you well and that the good cheer of the Holidays stays with you throughout the New Year.
