Attention Washington State school employees, your open enrollment deadline for dental benefits is November 15th! If you haven’t chosen your dental plan, you’ll need to pick “Uniform Dental” as your plan to continue receiving your coverage with us!
Starting in 2020, all employees of Washington State school districts and charter schools, and represented employees of Washington’s educational service districts will receive new dental benefits to replace their existing benefits.
If you’re a Washington state school employee, your existing dental benefits will change beginning January 1st, 2020. As an eligible school employee, you will be allowed to choose from three dental insurance options.
Of these three dental plans, only the Uniform Dental Plan will allow you to maintain uninterrupted dental coverage with your North Seattle Dental team. The other two plans being offered will provide no coverage at North Seattle Dental.
By enrolling in the Uniform Dental plan, you’ll continue to receive the exceptional, friendly dental care you’re accustomed to from our team.
So, when does open enrollment start? This year open enrollment for state school employees begins on October 1, 2019 and concludes on November 15, 2019.
What is open enrollment? It’s the time where you choose or change your health benefit options for the upcoming year.
Please note, that eligible school employees who do not enroll, or choose to waive their coverage during open enrollment will automatically be enrolled into the Uniform Dental Plan, which will continue your dental insurance coverage with North Seattle Dental.
Spouses and state registered domestic partners, children up to age 26, children with disabilities, and extended dependents are eligible.
For specific details of each plan’s coverage, please refer to the Washington State Health Care Authority’s website.
We hope that we may continue to offer you the friendliest 5-Star dental experience in town.
